I talked to Cowboy who plays steel for JJ and found out this song will be on the next album. I'm not sure why they didn't put it on "The Guitar Song" but this song's day will come.

I've had the original version of "This Lonesome Song" which had a couple of songs that the Mercury album didn't. There's another one called "Next Ex Thing". Both of those songs were stronger than other things on the released album. If this song "Leave You Alone" doesn't appear on the new album they are just really missing the train. I KNOW this is a hit. It is my FAVORITE JJ song. If he doesn't want to release it, I'm contacting him to see if I can record it. -JD Myers

Hell yeah.... thats where I am right now in my relationship of 5yrs. Very good song. I can relate to most of his songs anyways, so this one doesn't suprise me! He's a damn good singer, wish I could see him in concert. His looks help to, I like the rough cowboy look! YES I'M A FEMALE. LOL

Damn good song!!..they took the ending and put it at the end of "The last cowboy"..is wild to hear it on this song..this song needs to be on the radio...I guarantee it would be a number one hit!!! I cannot believe that it was left off the lonesome song cd..unless Jamey was at a point in his life that he wasnt ready to put a love song on that cd...Jamey doesnt play any of his songs off The Dollar cd in concert...I have seen him 6 times this year..its as if maybe lonesome song is where he wants people to know the real Jamey, where he is today and does like that first cd where he wore a cowboy hat on the cover and maybe had to dance to the Nashville industry beat to get started and he doesnt like it because it wasnt really what he was all about and lonesome song is..thanks for letting us hear it....Its another award winning song if it gets out on the radio!!!

This is a beautiful song. Hope he gets to put it on his new album or on one soon. My son turned me onto Jamey's music, and I have been a fan of Jamey's ever since.

When this album was first released online it was released with this track and a track called "Next Ex Thing". Jamey's music is epic. Any idea when his new album is coming out? I have seen him twice live in the past two months and he has performed new music. I can't wait!

You know, the more I come back and listen to the track...the more I can't believe this song was bumped! Besides "In Color" - this is probably the most polished song on that album -- polished enough that country radio might have given this one a fightin' chance! I love listening to the entire album, but this song just has that smoother tone, like its more radio-friendly... Please tell me ya'll understand what I'm getting at here! lol
