The song is not only beautiful but it packs a precious message. If it helps save one person's life or one person's eternity, the song would already be worth more than a million warehouses of emmy's, doves, academy awards, and nobel prizes. The value of one soul is infinite. An infinitely loving God came down to earth to prove that by dying for us on the cross. And if He would do that for billions, then infinity divided by billions is still infinity, and He would go to that cross for any one of us alone. And if we love our sin and our pleasure and our safety and comfort more than Him, we have made an infinitely tragic mistake in our lives. I'm glad I didn't commit suicide when my first wife dumped me for another man. I'm sad my second cousin's wife did commit suicide and that another second cousin committed suicide both for marital disasters. Another friend committed suicide years after his daughter drowned, and my trombone teacher shot himself perhaps from bipolar or tragic events in his life. It is easy to misinterpret tragedy and believe hope is gone, but tragedy and loss is often where hope and faith and love and maturity and strength develop because without something to overcome, one cannot be an overcomer. Without a battle, there is no opportunity for victory. Yet without the grace of God, it would be impossible to reach that total victory. One might reach success and wealth and fame, but not that peace with God and strength.
